Design225 has been building custom websites and running ongoing business development for Louisiana businesses since 2009. The work has shifted shape over the years. The through-line hasn't: build the site, run the growth work, answer the phone.

What we do

Two services that work together. Web design — custom websites that do real operational work, not template-shop output. Business development — the ongoing monthly work of SEO, content, search presence, and strategy that turns a site into a sustained source of new business.

Most firms sell one or the other. We've watched too many websites sit unused after launch, and too many marketing engagements run without a site that can hold up to the traffic they generate. The two services are paired because they work together.

Sectors we work most: industrial contractors, construction companies, manufacturers, engineering firms, architecture firms, law firms, professional services, home services companies, equipment dealers, and B2B service companies. Mostly Louisiana, with adjacent work across Texas, Mississippi, and Alabama.

How we work

Real people on the call. Real progress between calls. The phone gets answered. The work isn't dressed up as a thirty-slide proposal — it's described in plain language, scoped honestly, and delivered the way professional services work was supposed to be delivered before agencies got complicated.

We don't run paid ads as a primary service. We don't do social media management. We don't take on every project that calls. When a project isn't a fit, we say so on the first call and try to send the client somewhere useful instead.

For most clients, the relationship runs for years. The website launches, business development runs alongside, and the engagement evolves as the business does. The model assumes long-term work — not because we engineer it that way, but because that's what tends to happen when the work is doing what it's supposed to.

The seventeen years

Design225 was founded in 2009. The web has changed substantially since then. Mobile-first design wasn't a discipline in 2009 — phones didn't have it. WordPress was different software. Google's local pack didn't exist in its current form. Schema markup wasn't widely used. The accessibility expectations we work to didn't have legal teeth they do now.

We've been working through all of it. The longer you do this work, the more you watch one trend replace another. The underlying skills don't change much — understanding what a business actually needs, communicating clearly, building well, and following through. Those still matter the most.
